Days 43 to 47 - including Granite!!!

Lots of progress this week and the end is in sight! Monday was the most exciting day as our granite arrived - and we love it! These first few pictures show both our granite installed plus the newly installed cabinet doors - shaker style.

The view from our eating area over our breakfast bar.

The view towards the spot where our refrigerator will be.

This picture shows the edge profile of the granite.
Eric wanted something easy on our hands.

After the granite and sink had a few days to set, they installed our kitchen faucet - nice and simple!
The kitchen sink is a Blanco in the colour Anthracite.

During the week they also installed our pantry doors, now we just need handles...

This is a close up of the crown moulding on our cabinetry.

This is our new cutlery tray insert.

This shows the bulkhead for our upstairs plumbing.
What you can't see is all the Roxul insulation on the inside to reduce the noise.
They will do the mudding and filling next week I hope. Then more paint.

Speaking of paint, after we painted the front hall orange, we decided the existing (and really cheap) light fixture was dated and dim. We bought this light fixture and Eric installed it. It is REALLY bright - maybe too bright?

Lastly, we are making progress on our main floor powder room.
Here it is with our new cabinet and undermounttrough sink.

Later, after the counter & sink had set, they installed the facuets
(the ones we manage to keep from our old powder room).
