Temporary Kitchen

This week we've been getting things ready for Demolition Day... this involved relocating anything and everything remaining in our kitchen. We set up our temporary kitchen in our basement closing down Eric's work bench and stained glass area permanently until the new kitchen is up and running.

This was Eric's workbench - now kitchen appliance central. We bought a toaster oven and single electric stove burner [both of which can be used by future university/college students (aka Adam/Parker)]. Also home to kettle, toaster, microwave, and coffee maker.

The downstairs rec room is now our dining area and pantry all in one. We downsized a few months ago on games and kids books to make room for temporary storage of food items, dishes, and cutlery.

Lastly - this is our main floor stair case with the oak now fully refinished. Adam still has to paint the risers and edge trim white again (bit stained now). Then we will also be having new railings installed - goodbye gold plastic handrail - hello solid oak!
