For those of you that recall the dated "California ceiling" in our kitchen, it was monstrously large panelled lighting covering a large area of our kitchen ceiling. Eric decided to take down while I was away for 10 days, but he didn't know what was truly lurking behind those panels!
A huge moldy mess where the bathtub must have leaked before we bought the house.
This is the mould slightly cleaner. Also shows how a poor plumbing repair actually now has the bathtub plumbing too low to correctly drywall over it.
Yet another wallpaper under wallpaper (the house keeps revealing more and more over time)!
Super scary electrical - amazing the place didn't burn down!
Needless to say all of this helped Eric and I make the decision to finally re-do the kitchen.
